How do you tell a child “no”? I have a very hard time doing it. My husband, however, suggested that I might want to stop buying so many toys, as we’ve already got a playroom full of them. We have so many toys that I’m not even sure my kids remember all of the toys we have. I agreed to stop buying toys for awhile, and I finally realized that my children had a hard time using their own imaginations to play. This worried me, but I wasn’t sure what I could do about it!
I saw the commercial for the Elmo Live toy and it seemed like just the right thing. My husband didn’t agree, however, and it took some discussion before we finally brought the toy into the house. We waited until it was a special occasion, and then opened it up. My youngest daughter, who is two, seemed a bit afraid of it at first, but my older two were intrigued. The next thing I knew, all three of them were sitting down in front of Elmo as he told them a story! They jumped up, sat down, and moved around the same way that Elmo did! It was amazing!
Most of the toys in our house wind up in the toy box after one play session. Elmo Live, however, didn’t. All of the Elmo Live reviews are right – this toy is absolutely amazing. It’s beyond a toy! It’s almost like having a real Elmo in your living room or kitchen! I have no idea how the designers do what they do, but I’m a bit scared to think of what they’ll do to Elmo next, because this Elmo is lifelike enough to make anyone believe that he’s real! Elmo not only keeps my kids entertained, it also has been helping them with their imagination, and now they’re making up stories and telling them to Elmo!
