I love my daughter; I truly do. But sometimes having a four year old daughter underfoot all of the time gets really frustrating. She’s in preschool a few hours a day, but that doesn’t seem to be enough to stop her from begging me, constantly, to play with her. I work at home and don’t always have the time available to get down on the floor and play every minute of the day. When I saw the Elmo Live doll, I thought that maybe it might be a toy that my daughter could play with that would not only keep her entertained, but that would also be something she had fun with.
I read the Elmo Live reviews, and many of the parents said that their children played independently with the Elmo toy for awhile. When Elmo came home, my daughter immediately wanted to play with him. “This won’t last,” I thought to myself. I was wrong. Three hours later, when my husband came home, my daughter couldn’t wait to show him her new toy. She’d been doing everything with Elmo, from talking to him and listening to his stories, to cooking up a huge tea party for him.
Elmo now has a special place in our household, and in my heart. I can bring him out whenever I don’t have the freedom to play with my daughter right off, and she knows that she can enjoy her time with Elmo – the toy that will do whatever she wants it to do and will actually play with her. I am inherently grateful that I went out and made the decision to purchase this toy, as it’s brought tons of laughter and joy into our household!
