Sometimes I have a hard time buying presents for the little children in my family. That’s usually because there are so many different kinds of gifts that I could get them. There are toys that are purely for entertaining them and then there are toys that have an educational value. I’m giving an Elmo Live review to say how much I think this toy will help with the learning and development of young children.
If I have any extra money to splurge on entertaining toys, then that’s what I get a child. But I think that they can have too much idle fun and not enough toys to work their little brains. I thinks it is best to have a balance of things to explore with and to just play with, because it really isn’t good to have too much of either one. Not everything has to be an educational experience but, if for the times that it probably should be, I will usually buy a Fisher Price toy; like the Elmo Live toy.
The Elmo Live reviews I have read have been great. New technology has been adapted to this new Elmo Live toy to make it almost seem like Elmo is purposely interacting with a child. A lot of toys that are considered educational are great for problem solving and thinking, like Lego’s or blocks; but they don’t encourage the social skills that children so desperately need.
What I like about the Elmo Live toy, and why I will buy it when it comes out on the market, is that it is the lovable monster that just about every toddler admires and it also reinforces a lot of the developmental phases of that age group. They will learn that to get a greeting from Elmo, they need to squeeze his hand; or pinch his nose to get him to sneeze. That will bolster motor skills and problem solving. Social skills are such an important part of life and Elmo Live is so “real” that children will instinctively join in when he sings or sit and listen as he tells a story or joke. They will giggle with him and hug him to show how much they love him. He will, in turn, tell them how much he loves them too.
I think Fisher Price has always known the importance of a child’s learning while they are having fun with a toy and they have implemented the best technology available to create Elmo Live. As one of the most popular characters for the two to five year old age range, Elmo has the ability to catch and keep a child’s attention and therefore, has the opportunity to teach them to use and develop those important skills they need to advance in future life.
I hope someone reads this Elmo Live review and embraces the technology in this toy to help along their child’s development. In this ever demanding world that is pushing children to read and write earlier and earlier, these types of toys are essential.
