My have a 10 year old daughter and a 2 year old daughter, which means that my two year old often gets the hand-me-down toys from my 10 year old. Fortunately there are a number of toys which have survived the test of time and which she still enjoys playing with. One of my youngest daughter’s favorite toys is the Tickle Me Elmo. We bought Tickle Me Elmo when it first came out, and were very lucky to be able to grab it, as it was almost impossible to find. Fortunately I had a friend who worked in a major department store and who was able to get it for me. She loves to play with him. She likes hearing his voice, and I love hearing her giggle too.
We heard about Elmo Live coming out and knew that we just had to have it for our youngest daughter. What we didn’t expect was that our oldest daughter was going to love it just as much as our youngest one did! Our ten year old sat down with our two year old and played for over an hour. If you have children that are this far apart, you’ll know that this is a miracle. The two of them sat and giggled and watched as Elmo moved and grooved and sang and told stories. I couldn’t believe it!
I don’t often write these things, but I had to write this Elmo Live review just because this toy, in my eyes, is amazing. It bridged the gap between my two children and gave them something to do that they could both enjoy. I have a feeling that we’ll be changing the batteries on this Elmo frequently, as he will constantly be in use by one child or the other! This is definitely a superior toy!
