I’m raising two boys and a young three year old daughter. My toy buying experiences all rest in buying toys for boys, and I’m not used to having to buy something for a girl. My daughter’s birthday was coming up and I had absolutely no idea what to buy her. A friend recommended Elmo, and I knew that she loved to watch Elmo’s World on Sesame Street. When I looked online, I saw tons of Elmo Live reviews, saying how amazing the toy was and how much fun both adults and kids had with it. I wasn’t sure if my boys would tolerate it well, but I figured my daughter might like it.
I was really wrong. She didn’t like it, she loves it! She wants to bring that doll everywhere she goes, and refuses to let her brothers anywhere near it! The funny part is that they actually like the toy too. I can’t recall the amount of times that I’ve caught them bothering her, trying to get in on the action. She, of course, is having none of it, and has actually gone so far as to “hide” Elmo in my bed so that the boys won’t find him. It’s kind of hard to miss him, but I think it’s absolutely hilarious how much she tries to keep that doll from her brothers.
The Elmo Live doll is one that will make any parent or child happy. It’s completely safe to use, keeps the kiddos entertained, and even though it needs batteries, they don’t seem to get low very quickly so far. I’m now thinking about buying tons of other Elmo toys for my daughter, and thankfully you can find tons of them! I have a feeling, though, that this one will remain her favorite.
